To Whom It May Concern, It gives me great pleasure to give my highest recommendation to Admiralty Marine Surveyors, Inc. Ted Willard and Marty Webber recently completed a survey on my new 65' Fountain Super Cruiser. The thoroughness, professionalism and depth of knowledge produced a comprehensive report which provided me with details to fully appreciate the seaworthiness of my boat. Their findings and recommendations covered items which had never been discovered and would probably never been discovered had this survey not been accomplished. Further, Ted and Marty are first rate individuals and great to work with - they gave me 110% - over and beyond what is normally expected from a survey. Ted and Marty have my full support and appreciation for a superior report. Guy L. Hecker, Jr. Major General, USAF (Retired) Dear Marty, We would like to thank you for the excellent survey you did on "Fortunate". We appreciate how thorough and knowledgeable you were and thank you for keeping us in the loop as you went through the boat. We feel as though we have everything we need now to move forward with the process and have excellent recommendations from you for safety issues and needed maintenance and repairs. We would highly recommend you to others and hope to someday see you and the family onboard! All the best, Joyce Bandura Executive Director, World Vision Re: Marty Webber Admiralty Marine Surveyors It is with great pleasure that I write this Letter of Recommendation to those considering Marty Webber for their boat survey needs. You will find a professional, thorough, and client friendly representative who will be working in your best interest. To offer a little bit of background, my wife and I were interested in purchasing our first sailboat. We located "a great deal", and believed that we had found the desired boat, completely suitable to our needs. After screening several surveyors, we decided to go with Marty. Prior to the survey, Marty performed background research on the vessel. By the time we arrived for the actual survey, Marty was prepared with a complete history of the boat, and already had identified some areas that may need particular attention. Early on in the survey, Marty identified some troubling and potentially expensive items in need of immediate attention and in some cases, immediate repair. I had informed Marty of my objectives for the boat, which in a nutshell were to have it near "sail ready" with minimal repair or upgrades. I had also informed Marty that my wife and I really liked the boat. With the background I had given him on my needs coupled with the reality of the condition of the boat, Marty provided sufficient information to steer me clear of that particular choice. He reported simply on the condition of the boat versus my outlined objectives. He did not let my personal inclination to buy it persuade him to tell me what I wanted to hear. Rather, he supplied information on what I needed to hear to make an informed decision. Not to be deterred, my wife and I continued our search, and soon found another possibility. Again we contracted with Marty, and happily that survey came back favorably. As before, Mary researched the vessel beforehand, supplied very useful information for the price negotiations, and offered tips and suggestions along the way. His input provided comfort, leverage, and much needed expertise. So now my wife and I are happy in the boat we call WindStar. Besides being a nice boat, we are content in our belief that we bought the right boat at the right price, with the valued assistance of Marty Webber. Sincerely, Curt and Becky Salisbury James Island, SC |
